Astridur holds a law degree from Reykjavik University and a degree in French from the University of Iceland. Following graduation from Reykjavik University Astridur started working for the Iceland Revenue and Customs office. Astridur has worked as a lawyer and a project manager and has extensive experience in company and administrative law.

Astridur last worked as a project manager and lawyer in the Register of Enterprises and has handled various projects related to administrative and company law.
