Ólafía Rafnsdóttir has started working as a consultant at Attentus. She will provide general human resources and management consulting and work on the implementation of equal pay certification, a service that is currently in high demand at our company.
Ólafía completed an MBA degree from the University of Iceland and a degree in human resources management and project management at the Continuing Education Department of the University of Iceland.
Ólafía has extensive experience in Icelandic business and human resources. She was Assistant to the Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs in 2017, Chair of the Council of Ministers of Finance 2013-2017 and from 2014-2017 Vice Chair of the National Union of Icelandic Retailers. Ólafía was the first Vice Chair of the Confederation of Icelandic Trade Unions, sat on the Central Committee, the Labor Market Committee and the Equality and Family Committee. She has also been Chair of the Board of the Research Center for Retail. Ólafía worked as Managing Director of Human Resources at 365 Media from 2005 to 2012 and before that as Head of the Collections Department at Tal, Service Manager at Islandia Internet and at VR. She was the campaign manager for Ólaf Ragnar Grímsson’s presidential candidacy in 1996 and 2012.
