María Klara works as a lawyer at Attentus. She is currently on maternity leave. María Klara’s main tasks at the company are labor law, recruitment, EKKO cases, hiring a human resources manager and difficult personnel issues. María Klara also teaches part-time at the University of Akureyri’s Management Studies Program.

María Klara is a lawyer and has obtained the right to speak in district courts. She graduated from Reykjavík University with a law degree and also studied at the Faculty of Law of Stockholm University. After graduating with a master’s degree in law, she began working as a human resources manager for flight attendants and cabin crew at Icelandair and therefore has extensive experience in human resources. María Klara has attended courses in the field of human resources and labor law and has provided advice regarding EKKO cases, recruitment, reprimands, dismissals and terminations.

María Klara previously worked as a district court attorney at the Icelandic Law Firm from 2018 to 2021 and also worked as a lawyer for the Reopening Committee. In her previous work as a lawyer, she has handled a variety of tasks, including in the fields of labor law, administrative law and litigation, and is thus familiar with the functioning of courts.
