Drífa joins Attentus’ ownership group

Drífa Sigurðardóttir has joined the Attentus ownership group, having started working for the company as a consultant in 2017. Attentus now has five owners: Guðríður Sigurðardóttir, Inga Björg Hjaltadóttir, Ingunn Björk Vilhjálmsdóttir, Sigríður Þorgeirsdóttir, and Drífa. Árný Elíasdóttir, who was one of the founders of Attentus and a co-owner, has sold his share in the company but will continue to serve as a consultant for Attentus.

Drífa joined Attentus from ISAVIA where she worked as Human Resources Manager for the Air Navigation and Airports Division. She previously worked as HR Manager at Mannvit for nine years and as Head of Pay and Benefits Development at Eimskip for three years. Between 1997 and 2004, Drífa worked as a HR consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She participated in the founding of Mannauður, the Association of Human Resources Managers in Iceland, served on the board of Birta Pension Fund for five years and is currently Chair of the Nomination Committee at the real estate company Eik. Drífa completed an M.Sc. in Public Policy from Strathclyde University, Glasgow and a BA in Political Science from the University of Iceland.

Ingunn Björk Vilhjálmsdóttir, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Attentus: “We at Attentus thank Árnýja for her pioneering work in the field of education and career development in the labor market. She is among the innovators in this field in Iceland and has played a key role in the development of Attentus. Now she has reached a certain turning point, but she will focus on consulting projects for Attentus. At this turning point for Árnýja, it is a great benefit for Attentus to have Drífa join the group of owners of the company. She has been a leader in the development of Attentus’s consulting for equal pay certification in recent years, and she and her team have been involved in the preparation process for certification at about a third of the companies that have received certification. Drífa’s knowledge and experience will be useful in the continued development of the company.”
