Monika completed MLM degree in leadership and management with emphasis on HR management from Bifröst University and BS degree in tourism and a sub degree in ethnography from University of Iceland and Executive Coaching from Reykjavik University and Coach University. She also completed courses in management and leadership in tourism from the Open University with University of Reykjavik and have a Tourist Guide license from the Iceland Tourist Guide School.

Monika was a project manager, account manager and director of Iceland Rovers – brand of Icelandic Mountain Guides 2012-2020. She worked at Capacent and Vinna.is as well as taking care of challenging projects in community interpretation and translations.
